Induction of THP-1 cell differentiation into macrophages by PMA. Cells were seeded with 200 nM PMA in a 24-well plate and cultured for 3 days, following which the cells were cultured without PMA for a further 5 days. Total cell number and the proportion of attached cells were measured. Scale bar=20 µm. Similar results were obtained for three independent experiments. Representative results are shown.
