NP extract group exhibited a significant decrease in the infarct volume (P<0.05) and in the levels of COX-2 (P<0.001) and IL-1β (P<0.001), respectively, in the cerebral cortex. Values are expressed as means±SEMs. The data were analyzed with the one-way ANOVA, followed by the post-hoc LSD test.
