Fig. 1 — Design of the PANCALYZE trial: Tumor tissue samples are collected during surgery. Biomarker expression of CXCR4, SMAD4, SOX9 and IFIT3 will be assessed using immunohistochemistry. The patients are followed up to analyze if CXCR4⁺SMAD4⁻SOX9⁺IFIT3⁺ tumors will develop metastatic spread
