MupP kinetic parameters. Kinetic parameters were measured in 33 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7.6) with 10 mM MgCl₂ at 22°C. To determine the K_m (mM) and V_max (µmol min⁻¹ mg⁻¹), different amounts of MurNAc 6P (0.0625 to 2 mM) were incubated with 19.31 nM (0.5 mg/liter) recombinant MupP enzyme for 2.5 min. Reactions were stopped, and MurNAc release was detected by MS. Data are presented as means of three independent experiments ± the standard deviations.
