Shoot dry weight, root dry weight, total dry weight, and nitrogen use efficiency (NUE, Dry biomass per N supplied) of control plants (WT). gr refers to grams; three UBI4/Dof1 transgenic events (UD-1, UD-2, UD-3); and three rbcS1/Dof1 transgenic events (RD-1, RD-2, RD-3). Plants were grown hydroponically for 5 weeks under 15 mM N (High N) or 0.3 mM N (Low N). Data expressed as mean ± standard error from three independent experiments. Different letters indicate statistical differences (p < 0.05) within N trt.
