Effect of Atremorine (AT) treatment against dopaminergic degeneration. Comparative photomicrographs of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) immunoreactivity were taken in the substantia nigra (SN) of mice with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced neurotoxicity, untreated (E) and treated with l-DOPA (C,D) or Atremorine (A,B). Note the remarkable effect of Atremorine (A,B) in reversing the neurotoxic effect of MPTP on dopaminergic neurons.
