Neural similarity analysis using the meta-analytic database in Neurosynth. Neural similarity measures were obtained by correlating our whole-brain framing contrast with the reverse-inference term-based maps in Neurosynth (Neural Profiles, or NPs). Unique neural similarity was calculated using partial correlation analyses for a specific term while controlling for additional terms. The reduction in neural similarity following such partial correlation analyses was attributed to the controlling terms. For details, see Experimental procedures: neural similarity analysis.
