IFN transcription levels. HeLa cells grown in six-well plates were transfected for 48 h with siDDX3Xa and/or an siRNA-resistant DDX3X plasmid. Cells were either mock treated or subsequently infected with wild-type virus for 8 h at an MOI of 5. Total RNA was collected, and IFN-β mRNA was measured by qRT-PCR normalized to GAPDH levels. Data represent the average of two independent experiments.
