Impact of HSV-1 on endogenous DDX3X cellular levels. HeLa, Vero, and 143B cells were seeded in 10-cm plates 24 h prior to infection. Cells were then either mock treated (−) or infected (+) with wild-type HSV-1 at an MOI of 5 for 18 h. Total cell lysates were then collected, and DDX3X cellular levels were probed by Western blotting. γ-Tubulin was used as a loading control. Numbers below the blots indicate the average levels of DDX3X, normalized for γ-tubulin, from five independent experiments.
