Inset: a comparison of EDAX data between the dried (D120 – red and P120 – black) and high-temperature sintering (D900 – green and P900 – blue) materials; Ca, P, O, N and C elements present in bovine bone significantly change with heat-treatment conditions due to change in phases; N is completely eliminated at high temperature (e.g., 900°C).
