Chlorosis and growth suppression phenotypes of T2 generation of transgenic lines grown on a medium containing Dex. The seeds of non-transformed control (SR1) were sown on an MS medium (Control) or a medium containing 1 µM Dex (Dex). Those of transgenic lines were sown on a selection medium containing 50 µg/mL Hyg alone (Control) or a medium containing both 50 µg/mL Hyg and 1 µM Dex (Dex). Previously reported iTav-3 served as a positive control. Three lines with inducible Hsp90C silencing constructs, Hsp90C-hpRNA-4, -8, and -9 (Hsp90C-4, -8, and -9, respectively), which showed different magnitudes of chlorosis and growth suppression are shown.
