Immunohistochemical analysis of MIB‐1 and phosphorylated nestin. (a) Phosphorylated nestin (p‐Thr315 andp‐Thr1299) localized in the nuclei of pancreatic cancer cells, while total nestin mainly localized in the cytoplasm of cancer cells. Most cells in normal pancreatic tissue did not show positive for phosphorylated nestin, but mitotic cells were positive for phosphorylated nestin. (b) MIB‐1 was localized in the nuclei of cancer cells. A positive correlation between p‐Thr1299 and MIB‐1 was observed in pancreatic cancer cases.
