Serum level of 27-OHC was significantly increased following a high-cholesterol diet, from 15.37 ng/mL in control group (n = 5) to 34.71 ng/mL in cholesterol-fed animals (n = 5, ***p < 0.001) (A), and similarly the hippocampal level of 27-OHC increased from 6.82 ng/mg in control group (n = 5) to 26.94 ng/mg in cholesterol-fed group (n = 5, ***p < 0.001) (B).
