Peritoneal macrophages isolated from PDE4A^−/− (A), PDE4B^−/− (B) and PDE4D^−/− mice (C) and their corresponding wild-type mice were incubated with 10 μM rolipram for 20 min before LPS (10 ng/ml) stimulation for 8 h. IL-1Ra accumulation in the medium was determined by ELISA. Data are the mean ± SEM (n = 7–13 mice/group). *P < 0.001, compared with PDE4B^+/+ control.
