Mouse livers were subjected to 60 min of ischemia, followed by 6 h of reperfusion. (A) Real-time PCR was performed to measure the mRNA expression of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, MCP-1, iNOS, and COX-2 in the livers from the unclamped mice (sham) or mice clamped and pretreated with PBS, scrambled siRNA (scramble), or HMGB1-siRNA (si-HMGB1) (*P < 0.05 **P < 0.01, n = 6 per group).
