Notes: (A) After treatment with 15, 50, and 80 nm AuNPs for the indicated time points, Calu-1 were stained with MitoTracker® Green and changes in mitochondrial morphology were observed under a CLSM. Representative CLSM images are presented. (B) Quantitative analysis of mitochondrial morphology was carried out using ImageJ software. At least 20 cells were analyzed per condition for each experiment. *P<0.05, compared to the untreated control.
