Effect of KE diet on the concentrations of glycolytic and TCA cycle intermediates. These metabolites were measured in the cortex (A, C) and hippocampus (B, D) of 3XTgAD mice fed ketone ester (KE) or control (CON) diets using isotope dilution mass-spectrometry. Oxaloacetate (OAA) which was calculated as shown in the Methods section. Values plotted are average± SEM, n=5–6, * indicates significant at p < 0.05 in Students t-test.
