Cultures were prepared from neonatal mouse brain. After 9 DIV, the cells were incubated with (a) 5-methyl-7-methoxyisoflavone (methoxyisoflavone) and (b) edaravone at 5 different concentration (0.01–30 μM) for 48 h. Expression of MBP mRNA was evaluated by real time RT-PCR. The results shown that both compounds dose-dependently stimulated OPC differentiation. Data are expressed as 2−ΔΔCt value relative to untreated control, using GAPDH as reference gene. Values represent the mean ± SEM of 3 independent experiments. (Student’s T-Test; *p ≤ 0.05; p** ≤ 0.01)
