The protein expression of glutamate transporters is decreased in the midbrain and striatum in MPTP-treated mice. C57BL/6 mice received one intraperitoneal injection of MPTP-HCl or saline daily for 3 days and then were killed (3d) or received one intraperitoneal injection of MPTP-HCl or saline daily for 5 days and were killed after either 1 (5+1d) or 3 day (5+3d). The midbrain and striatum tissues were prepared for analysis by western blotting.
