Luteolin selectively induced apoptosis in the drug-resistant GC cells. (a) Molecular structural formula of luteolin. (b) UV absorption measured by HPLC shown the purity of luteolin. (c and d) Various gastric tumor cells were treated with fold diluted DDP or luteolin. Cell viability was determined by a MTS method. IC50 value was determined to evaluate the inhibition of tumor cell growth by luteolin. The value of each cells was the mean value of three independent experiments. (e) SGC7901/DDP and HGC27 cells were treated with 15 or 5 μM luteolin and then stained with propidium iodide and AnnexinV-FITC for detecting the apoptosis by flow cytometry. (f) The columns showed the statistical FACS result of three independent experiments, *P<0.05
