CUBE and CUBES images of a 0.9mm high resolution, low contrast phantom (a and b) and 0.9mm high resolution, high contrast phantom (c and d). Note extensive image blurring on the CUBE-CS images (arrows) which resulted in a visible reduction in spatial resolution with apparent decrease in the distance between the dots in the phantoms. The decrease in spatial resolution was more prominent on the low contrast phantom than the high contrast phantom.
