Demographic data. Subjects were matched on age, sex, education, apolipoprotein E epsilon 4 carrier status, and race. To quantify cardiovascular risk factors, body mass index was calculated for each subject and subjects were asked to report how often they exercise, their history of heart disease, sleep apnea, and diabetes, if they were currently smoking, and if they had ever smoked regularly (*p < 0.05)
