Enzymatic activity of RelQ is unaffected by inorganic polyphosphate. Experiments were performed with 0.5 mg/mL BSA, 0.15 µM RelQ (37.5 nM tetramer), 300 µM ³H GDP, 100 µM ppGpp, 1 mM ATP, and increasing concentrations of long-chain (p700) polyphosphate. Error bars represent SDs of the turnover estimates by linear regression. The experiment was performed twice.
