SDS-PAGE analysis of secreted proteins extracted from stationary-phase cultures of RN6390 and COL strains. Cultures of RN6390 or COL WT, htrA₁ (A₁), htrA₂ (A₂), and htrA₁ htrA₂ (A₁A₂) strains were grown in BHI medium overnight at 37°C. Cell (data not shown) and supernatant proteins were extracted from RN6390 (A) or COL (B) overnight cultures and then analyzed by SDS-PAGE. Sizes of protein standards (MW) are indicated to the left of each gel. The indicated proteins were identified by MALDI-TOF analysis. Similar results were obtained for three independent experiments.
