hd-LBP inhibits CD14-dependent signaling by R and S LPS chemotypes. CHO/CD14 cells were incubated with 10 pg of E. coli F515 R-type LPS/ml (A) or 500 pg of E. coli O111:B4 S-type LPS/ml in the presence of 2% human serum and different concentrations of LBP as indicated for 60 min followed by analysis of NF-κB translocation by EMSA. Experiments were repeated at least three times with identical results, and one representative experiment is shown.
