RDN promoted more severe atherosclerosis in the apolipoprotein E-deficient mice infused with angiotensin II. Mice were euthanized after infusion with angiotensin II for 28 days, and the aortas were collected. The surface of the aortic arch was stained en face with Sudan IV. (A,B) were representative Sudan IV images of the aortic arch from sham surgery and RDN groups, respectively. The percentage of Sudan IV-positive area was calculated and expressed as a percentage of the total aortic arch luminal surface area (C).
