Parameters were calculated from photosynthesis versus absorbed PPFD. Asat (μmol m-2 s-1) was calculated after fitting the data to a non-rectangular hyperbola. ϕCO2 was the slope of the linear portion at low light. A/Q curves were only conducted in vegetative (V5) growth in 2012, whereas 2013 curves were conducted in V5 and two reproductive stages: flowering (R1/2) and pod-fill (R5). Mean square error (MSE) is reported from each ANOVA. Different letters represent significant differences at α = 0.1.
