An. albimanus guts were incubated for 24h in medium alone (C) or with 10⁻⁷ M of Aedes-AT (AT), E. coli lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (100 μg/ml) or phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) (10 ng/ml). NO concentration was evaluated in the culture medium by the Griess reaction. Results are expressed as mean concentration of nitrites ± SEM of three independent experiments. Significant differences were determined with one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test (p < 0.05).
