The absorption of 2,8-DPTZ-DBTO₂ and 3,7-DPTZ-DBTO₂ in a zeonex matrix host, which are the same as their absorption in MCH solution. Again highlighting that the donor absorption contribution is enhanced and red-shifted, and the lowest energy transitions gain considerable oscillator strength redistributed from the acceptor, suggesting strong mixing of the n–π* and π–π* transition moments in 3,7-DPTZ-DBTO₂.
