No PB-promoted HCC in CAR KO mice. Car−/− (CAR KO) and Car+/+ (CAR WT) mice with a C3H/HeNCrlBR background were treated with a single dose of diethylnitrosamine for tumor initiation and chronically with PB for tumor promotion, according to a standard protocol of two-step hepatocarcinogenesis (Yamamoto et al., 2014).
