FAK, and p38 MAPK, but not ERK are required for FSS induction of COX-2 in BAECs. BAECs were pretreated with the following inhibitors 1-h before exposure to 5 h of FSS. A: COX-2 protein expression in BAECs pretreated with the FAK inhibitor PF-228 (10 μM) before exposure to 5 h of FSS. B: the p38 MAPK inhibitor SB2003980 (10 μM).
