Figure 4

Western blot analysis showed that anterior gradient protein 2 homologue (AGR2) inhibited the decreased expression of tight junction (TJ) proteins (A) zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1), (B) claudin-1 and (C) occludin induced by TNF-α. The results are presented as the mean ± SD. **P<0.01 compared with controls; #P<0.05 compared with rhTNF-α-treated cells; ##P<0.01 compared with rhTNF-α-treated cells. Immunofluorescence staining shows that AGR2 inhibited the rhTNF-α-induced abnormal distribution of (D) occludin and (E) ZO-1 proteins.
