WNK4 is expressed in mice adipose tissue and induced in the early phase of 3T3-L1 adipocyte differentiation. (a) Immunoblot analysis of WNK4 in the white adipose tissue of WT and WNK4−/− mice. The asterisks (*) and the sharps (#) show nonspecific bands and WNK4, respectively. (b) qRT-PCR analysis of mouse primary preadipocytes. WNK4 was expressed predominantly in mature adipocytes. (c) Primary preadipocyte differentiation into adipocytes and analysis of WNK4. The SVF cells treated with adipogenic stimuli showed increased WNK4 expression at day 2 of differentiation. (d) qRT-PCR analysis of differentiating 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The level of WNK4 mRNA was increased significantly by 8 h of differentiation.
