Measurements of Ih-induced rectification and ADP amplitude. The magnitude of the Ih-induced rectification, was measured as the difference between the maximum hyperpolarization and the hyperpolarization at the end of each current step (A). The gradient of this voltage current relationship was measured in the same way as the input resistance of the cell (see Methods) and represents the change in input resistance due to the conductance change underlying the Ih current. The amplitude of an after-depolarizing potential (ADP) was measured from the base of the ADP to its peak amplitude (B).
