Ampelopsis Radix downregulated the expression levels of STAT3 target genes. HCT-116 and SW480 cells were treated with various concentrations of AR or vehicle for 24 h, and then total cell lysates were extracted for Western blot analyses by using antibodies specific to Mcl-1, Bcl-xL (A) and MMP-2 (B). Gelatin zymography was used to evaluate the enzymatic activity of MMP-2 (C). The representative results (left) and the relative expression levels analyzed by Image J software (right) were shown.
