During open field exploration, HttQ111/+ mice travel less distance than Htt+/+ mice (A) and spend more time along the outer walls of the arena (B). This thigmotactic tendency combined with observations that HttQ111/+ mice initiate fewer total investigations of both objects during the novel object location task (C) suggest that HttQ111/+ mice exhibit anxiety-like phenotypes and are less motivated to explore.
