Figure A3

Effect of genistein on SIRT1 mRNA expression following I/R injury. In the sham group, mice received the same volume of vehicle without I/R; in the I/R group, mice received the same volume of vehicle with I/R; in the G5 group, mice were pre-treated with 5 mg/kg genistein following I/R; in the G10 group, mice were pre-treated with 10 mg/kg genistein following I/R; in the G15 group, mice were treated with 15 mg/kg genistein. The mice were decapitated at 24 h of the reperfusion period for further analysis. The data were expressed as the mean ± SEM; n = 6; * p < 0.05 vs. Sham; # p < 0.05 vs. I/R. The SIRT1 mRNA levels for specific genes were normalized to 18S rRNA levels.
