Only residues identical in at least 50% of the sequences are shown. Fully conserved residues are shown in red, residues with strong similarity in green, and with weak similarity in blue. Conserved amino acids of which mutation in the P. putida IutY protein leads to constitutive activity are boxed, as well as amino acids that were mutated in the P. aeruginosa FoxR and FiuR proteins. Numbering indicates amino acid position in the P. putida IutY protein.
