Activated PKC in turn decreases SERCA function, which indirectly increases SOCE function by depleting calcium stores in ER. Additionally, TSP4 amplifies PMCA activity, but to a lesser extent than the effect on SERCA, such that [Ca2+]i is minimally altered.
