Z scores of NAA levels and Stroop interference scores were calculated using the mean and standard deviation of healthy adolescents. Lower NAA levels in the ACC were significantly associated with poorer performance in the Stroop interference after adjusting for age, sex, and educational level (r = −0.61, P < 0.001).
