Procedures to isolate the mosquito larvicidal constituents. The Zanthoxylum piperitum bark methanol extract was sequentially partitioned into hexane-, chloroform-, ethyl acetate-, and water-soluble portions. The hexane-soluble fraction was the most biologically active fraction, and HPLC was performed.
