MiR-132 induces IL-8 and MCP-1. Human preadipocytes were plated (3 × 10⁴ cells per well) and transfected with varying concentrations of pre-miR-132 or a scrambled oligonucleotide as a negative control (250 nm). After 48 h incubation, medium was collected and the quantity of IL-8 (white bars) and MCP-1 (black bars) was determined using MSD assay kits. Proteins were quantitated by electrochemiluminescence detection and a MSD SECTOR Imager 6000. Data are expressed as light units of cytokine and represent the mean of eight replicates ± sem. These data are representative of three independent experiments.
