High zinc or antibiotics supplement both significantly increased the function enrichment of transporters, fatty acid metabolism, and drug metabolism. (B) Comparing colonic microbial function between ZnO (n = 3), antibiotics (n = 4), and control (n = 4). High zinc supplement significantly increased the function enrichment of methane metabolism when compared with control or antibiotics. Statistics were conducted by two-sided Welch’s t-test and Benjamini–Hochberg FDR correction between two groups, and the P-value of different functions lower than 0.05 were shown.
