Membrane blebs exhibit structural similarity. The indicated cells were challenged with a sublytic concentration of SLO or PFO in RC for 15 min to induce membrane blebbing. MVs were recovered by ultracentrifugation as described in Figure 3, adsorbed onto formavar-coated grids, negatively stained using 1% uranyl acetate, and visualized using transmission electron microscopy.
