Transesophageal echo (TEE) image acquired immediately post-transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) indicates crescentic thickening of the ascending aortic wall consistent with intramural hematoma (Panel A). TEE image acquired on first day post-TAVR shows marked reduction in the degree of aortic wall thickening (Panel B).
