Effects of HSYA on TGF-β1/Smad and ERK/MAPK signaling pathway in TGF-β1-treated MRC-5 cells with TβRII knockdown. MRC-5 cells were pretreated with TβRII-non-targeting control siRNA or TβRII siRNA for 24 h followed by 45 μmol/L HSYA for 30 min before stimulation with 10 ng/mL TGF-β1 for 1 h. Protein levels of phosphorylated Smad2, Smad3, and ERK were analyzed by western blotting (A). Densitometric analyses of phosphorylation statuses of Smad2 (B), Smad3 (C), and ERK (D).
