Only 3.1% of the pooled data presented BTs higher than 60 dB HL and, therefore, presumably almost complete loss of cochlear amplification. (B) Histogram of the standard deviations, ${\sigma }_{\mathit{B}\mathit{T}}$, of L_BT. The median value of ${\sigma }_{\mathit{B}\mathit{T}}$ was ${\tilde{\sigma }}_{\mathit{B}\mathit{T}}$ = 2.37 dB, suggesting accurate and reproducible estimates of L_BT, as required when L_BT is used as a reference for establishing the reliability of EDPTs as an objective estimator of auditory thresholds.
