Gene expression of osteoclast-related factors in bone marrow cell culture. Cells derived from both genotypes at 6–8 weeks of age were cultured, and those total RNAs were analyzed using quantitative real-time PCR. Bone marrow cells extracted from the femurs were cultured for 1 day, and non-adherent cells were collected on the next day (C). Of which some of those cells were differentiated to osteoclast by cultured with M-CSF for 3 days (B) then with M-CSF and RANKL for 4 days (A). Gene expression was normalized to that of GAPDH.
