Mutant Δicl1 Tn::Rv2170 restored growth on stearic acid. (A) Carbon flux from isocitrate is channeled either into the TCA cycle through isocitrate dehydrogenase (ICDH) activity or into the glyoxylate shunt through isocitrate lyase (ICL) activity.
