Figure 1

Schematic diagram for the ─NH2-functionalized Re-MOF that converts CO2 to CO under visible light. (a,b) Zr6O4(OH)4(–CO2)12 secondary building units (SBUs) are combined with H2BPDC, H2ReTC and H2BPDC-(NH2)2 linkers to form Re-MOF-(NH2)(X%). The structure of Re-MOF-NH2 (X%) is shown. Twelve-coordinated Zr-based metal clusters are interconnected by BPDC, ReTC and BPDC-(NH2)2 linkers in a face-centred cubic array. Atom labelling scheme: C, black; O, red; Zr, blue polyhedra; Re, yellow; Cl, green; H atoms are omitted for clarity. (c) A schematic diagram of the photocatalytic CO2 conversion within Re-MOF-NH2 (X%).
